Dr. Judith Sebestyén
Plastic Surgeon Beauty and youth play a crucial role in today's society. Those who feel dissatisfied with themselves can lose their confidence, which may lead to imbalance and affect all areas of life. While a healthy lifestyle can contribute significantly to achieving the desired appearance, it is not always enough. Fortunately, modern medicine offers numerous solutions. As a plastic surgeon, I consider it essential to understand not only the physical aspects but also the psychological background, as treatments and interventions can only be truly effective when approached holistically.

Introduction
I graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu Mureș in 2004. Even before starting university, I worked in healthcare.
From January 2, 2005, I have been working at St. Stephen’s Hospital in Budapest. Until I passed the diploma equivalency exam, I worked as a nurse in the Burn Intensive Care Unit. Before university, I had spent 4 years and 8 months as a surgical assistant at the County Hospital in Miercurea Ciuc.
After passing the equivalency exam, I was admitted as a resident to the Surgical Department at St. Stephen’s Hospital. Since then, I can confidently say I have been working in the operating room.
Between 2006 and 2012, I worked in the Surgical Department of St. Stephen’s Hospital (then known as the Third Surgical Clinic).
On May 23, 2012, I passed my specialist exam and became a certified surgeon. By the time I took the exam, I had independently performed 430 surgeries and assisted in nearly 900 more as a first assistant.
Thanks to the late Prof. Dr. János Regöly Mérei (then head professor of the clinic), I had the opportunity to participate in Dr. Zsolt Révész’s plastic surgery operations.
In August 2012, I was successfully admitted as a plastic surgery resident and was also hired as a doctor in the Burns and Plastic Surgery Department.
On November 15, 2015, I passed my plastic surgery specialization exam. By this time, I had performed nearly 670 plastic surgeries independently.
Following this, I was appointed as an adjunct, and in 2019, as a chief physician.
I am proud to have had the privilege of training as a plastic surgeon under Dr. Zsolt Révész, one of the country’s best specialists. From the very beginning, I worked alongside him. Since 2019, we have been running separate practices and operating independently, though we still work on the same days.
From March 2020, our hospital, as part of the National Center for Infectious Diseases, participated in COVID-19 care. Initially at the St. Stephen’s Hospital site, and later from November 2020 to May 2021, at the László Hospital site, I worked on the frontlines of COVID care.
“A smile is the most beautiful accessory we can wear”
A confident smile requires us to feel good about ourselves. With the tools of modern medicine and my international experience, I am here to help, whether it’s about softening the signs of aging or correcting a specific body part.
In every aspect of my life, I focus on quality, and this is especially true in my professional work, alongside a deep sense of empathy.
