(hereinafter referred to as Data Controller) about the data processing rules and regulations related to the browser identifiers.
When drawing up the present rules the Data Controller in particular took into account the following legislation:
- The Fundamental Law of Hungary;
- Act CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information of Hungary (hereinafter referred to as the Law on information);
- Act VI of 1998 on the proclamation of the international convention issued on 28 January 1981 in Strasbourg on protection of the individual during mechanical processing of personal data;
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR);
The Data Controller uses cookies on the Website it operates in order to track activity on the Website, remember user data, display relevant content offers and targeted advertisements.
1. What is cookie?
Cookies are small packets of data, text files that are placed on your browser or device when you visit a website or app. Cookies allow the website to recognize the visitor on their next visit, thus providing security, convenience features and improving the user experience while browsing the website.
Cookies can be distinguished, for example, by their function or storage period, and some cookies are set directly by the website operator, while others are placed by third parties through the website.
2. The use of Cookies
Most browsers allow users to control and limit the cookies used on websites. Thus, if the Data Subject does not want the Data Controller to use cookies when the Data Subject visits the Website, the Data Subject has the possibility to stop the use of the cookies by using the cookie settings.
If the Data Subject stops the use of cookies, the proper functioning of the Website cannot be ensured, and thus the proper user experience cannot be ensured.
3. Legal basis for cookie-related data processing
The legal basis for data processing related to cookies is the voluntary consent given by the Data Subject in accordance with domestic and Community legislation. The consent to data processing related to cookies shall be deemed to be given by accepting the Data Protection Notice and this Cookie Policy and by ticking the relevant check-box on the Website.

All rights and remedies set out in Zenon Clinic's Data Protection Notice are provided and apply to this Cookie Policy as well.
5. Cookies used by the Data Controller
5.1. Required cookies
These cookies ensure the proper functioning of the Website and facilitate its use, without them the comfortable use of the Website would be more difficult or impossible. These cookies collect information about the use of the Website without identifying visitors. Some of them are deleted as soon as the visitor closes the browser (session cookies), while others are saved on the visitor's device or browser until their saving period expires or the visitor deletes them (persistent cookies). Cookies are automatically placed on the user's device when browsing the Website. They can be deleted later and independently in the browser settings.
5.2. Functional cookies
These cookies allow advanced features and personalisation. Cookies are placed by the Data Controller or by a third party whose services have been added to the Website by the Data Controller. If the Data Subject does not allow the use of these cookies, these functions may not function properly.
5.3. Performance cookies
These cookies are related to the performance, improvement and user experience of the Website and allow us to collect data about how visitors use the website.
These cookies do not identify the Data Subjects either, the information they collect relates to e.g. which part of the page the visitor clicked on, how many websites or pages he/she visited, how long the viewing time of each session was, what possible error messages were received, etc. Among cookies for statistical purposes, we have also distinguished between persistent and session cookies, depending on how long they are stored on visitors' browsers and devices. Cookies for statistical purposes are automatically placed on the Data Subject's devices when browsing the websites. They can be subsequently deleted in the browser settings.
5.4. Targeting cookies
These cookies ensure that the Website works efficiently and that marketing is up to date. Targeting cookies are also useful for Data Subjects, as they enable the Data Controller to display advertisements on the Website that may be interesting and relevant for users. These cookies are therefore used by the Data Controller to track visitors' activities on the website, and their purpose is nothing more than to enhance user experience and facilitate online marketing activities.
In targeting cookies, the Data Controller does not store any personal data or transfer to third parties that the Data Subject provided during the use of the Website or registration. In these cookies, the Data Controller only stores data that identifies the Data Subject's activity on the Website.
6. Data security
The Data Controller stores the above-mentioned personal data at its seat, in its own IT system, and on the servers of the Data Processors responsible for hosting services.
The Data Controller undertakes to ensure the security of the data in accordance with the GDPR and the Law on Information, while taking into account the rights of the Data Subjects.
The Data Controller shall keep a record of possible personal data breaches, if necessary, inform the Data Subject and, if necessary, the National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information about the incidents that arise (NAIH).
Access to personal data is granted to persons acting in the interest of the Data Controller, in particular agents and employees, who need it for the performance of their activities and who are aware of and are familiar with the obligations relating to the processing of the data.
The Data Controller shall take all necessary measures to ensure the secure and non-damaging processing of data and the establishment and operation of the necessary data management systems. The Data Controller shall ensure that the processed data cannot be accessed, disclosed, transmitted, modified or deleted by unauthorised persons.
The Data Controller undertakes to ensure the security of the data using the most advanced and appropriate equipment and security rules, in particular to ensure that the data cannot be unlawfully disclosed, deleted, destroyed or accessed by unauthorised persons. The Data Controller shall take every reasonable steps to ensure that the data are not accidentally damaged or destroyed. This commitment shall also be imposed on the employees of the Data Controller, who are involved in the processing activities.
Under no circumstances can the Data Controller collect special data, i.e. data concerning racial or ethnic origin, membership of national or ethnic minorities, political opinions or party affiliations, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of representative associations, health, pathological addiction, sex life or criminal records.
7. Final provisions
If the Data Controller intends to carry out further processing of personal data for a purpose other than the purpose of this Policy, the Data Controller shall inform the Data Subject of the new purpose of the processing prior to the further processing. In the event that the legal basis of the new data processing activity would be based on the Data Subject's consent, the data processing activity cannot be started without the information and consent.
The Data Controller reserves the right to change this Cookie Policy or, in case of changes in European Union or Hungarian legislation, to amend the Cookie Policy accordingly.
This Cookie Policy is valid from 1 January 2023.
