Dr. József Gábor Joó

Introduction

I completed my general medical studies in the Division of General Medicine at Semmelweis University in 1996. Following that, I specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2001, Clinical Genetics in 2004 and Clinical Pharmacology in 2013. In terms of my academic career, I qualified as a PhD in 2006 and achieved Habilitation (venia legendi), and since 2017 I am the doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. I was also awarded by a diploma for completing my studies in Healthcare Management at Corvinus University in Budapest.

My primary speciality is Perinatology, more specifically, prenatal care, pathological pregnancy and genetic counselling. However, the ambulant and surgical treatment of gynaecological disorders belong to my areas of speciality as well.
