About the service
Laser treatment for Rosacea
Treatment is crucial from the very first signs
Red bumps, intense redness, visible capillaries, inflamed lesions - rosacea is a very unpleasant skin condition that affects many people these days. The redness on the face, chin, nose and forehead can start at a young age, but it is more typical among people over 40.
The first signs of this condition are often temporary, disappear quickly and do not reappear for a long time. This is why we often neglect the initial signs and symptoms, but the problem can develop into severe, difficult to treat and progressively worse symptoms. If someone is genetically prone to develop rosacea it cannot be completely cured, it can only be treated to minimize the inconvenient symptoms with a proper lifestyle, skin care routine and professional medical-aesthetic treatments. In some cases, prescription medication may be also necessary.
What causes rosacea
At the first signs of rosacea, it is worth consulting with a dermatologist as rosacea is a skin condition, not just an aesthetic skin problem.
There can be several reasons and triggers of rosacea:
- genetics,
 - hormonal changes (e.g. menopause)
 - gastrointestinal diseases,
 - blood pressure problems,
 - over consumption of foods and drinks that cause vasodilatation (e.g. coffee, hot foods, strong spices, alcohol),
 - bacterial infection (e.g. dermatitis).

                    High-end laser treatment for rosacea
We use the DEKA Again laser, the gold standard among medical lasers. The state-of-the-art technology of the DEKA Again laser was voted the world's best laser device by the AMWC (Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress) in Monaco in 2022.
ND:YAG laser
Thanks to ND:YAG laser treatment, vascular lesions can be completely eliminated. This laser works at a wavelength of 1064 nm, which can reach even the deeper layers of the skin. The high-energy laser beam provides improvements with no damage to normal skin tissue: the laser light is absorbed in the targeted blood vessels, causing the walls of the dilated vessels to contract and then disappear.

        Combined solution, impressive results
Laser treatment for rosacea is an extremely safe procedure, we can treat with precision and accuracy to remove the problems caused by rosacea. The treatment is often combined with IPL (Intense pulsed light) treatment to achieve a full, extensive effect. During your free consultation, we will create a personalized treatment plan for you.
Procedure
At the beginning of the procedure, the skin is prepped: the treated area is cleaned and disinfected. The laser is continuously passed over the affected areas, causing a slight burning and stinging sensation. For this reason, we use a special cooling device to keep the skin surface cool to minimize any discomfort.
The laser light is absorbed by the pigment in the blood, called hemoglobin, and the heated vascular segment is coagulated (destroyed) by the laser. In the damaged vessel, the unwanted circulation is eliminated and the excess damaged cells are disposed of through the body's natural metabolic process. This eliminates aesthetically disturbing vasodilation and blood congestion in the area.
Meanwhile, healthy tissue remains completely intact. At the end of the treatment, you will be given detailed information about the aftercare.

Laser treatment can be a solution for different stages of rosacea:
- Relieve symptoms immediately after the initial occurrence of the disease,
 - It can also treat more serious cases, when not only redness and capillaries appear, but also inflamed nodules.

The number of treatments varies from person to person, depending on the severity of the rosacea. We usually recommend 2-4 sessions, with 4-5 weeks between each session. Treatments should be done in the autumn-winter period and repeated if symptoms return.
The treatment requires completely dry and clean skin, so do not apply any skin care products or make-up to the area for 24 hours before the treatment. Also, avoid sun exposure and solarium for 1-2 weeks before the treatment.
Swelling, redness and a burning, itching sensation similar to sunburn may occur in the treated area after the treatment, which will disappear within a few days. A scab may develop, which should not be touched under any circumstances as it may cause scarring. Unpleasant side effects can be reduced by cooling the skin. Avoid direct sun exposure, saunas and activities involving sweating for 1-2 days after treatment. In addition, the use of sunscreen is essential.
Treatment should not be performed during pregnancy, breast-feeding, diabetes, fever, skin infections and when taking photosensitising medication.
