What is CoolSculpting?
Coolsculpting, also known as cryolipolysis, is a non-invasive method of eliminating localized fat. In this treatment, excess fat cells are targeted with extremely cold temperatures - as low as minus 10°C - which basically freezes them. The fat cells cannot withstand the cold, so blood flow is reduced resulting in fat cell necrosis, but the surrounding tissues are not damaged at all.
The destroyed and reduced cells are naturally cleared out through the lymphatic system in 10-12 weeks. The length of the cooling time and the operating temperature will affect how much fat tissue can be destroyed: the longer it is used and the colder it is, the stronger and more effective the treatment will be.
Cryolipolysis with Z Lipo
The Z Lipo is based on the technology of cryolipolysis: it targets and reduces excess fat permanently in 3-4 months. The device is used to freeze fat tissue at a low temperature for about 60 minutes in a controlled environment: usually between 0°C and -10°C, which results in the destruction of fat cells.

Procedure
Prior to the treatment, a personal consultation will be held to prepare your individual treatment plan according to the area and extent of the problem.
The first step is to clean and disinfect the skin surface and then outline the area that will be treated. We then gently loosen the tissues with a warm cloth or by massaging the area a bit and then we place a protective sheet on the area.After the sheet is placed, the handpiece is positioned on the designated area, where the device will freeze the fat cells for the next 30-60 minutes. The handpiece may cause a pulling sensation in the treated area.
During the "fat freezing" process, for a short period of time - about 5-10 minutes - there may be a slight discomfort in the form of a pulling, tingling, stinging, cold sensation.
At the end of the treatment, the handpiece and protective sheet are removed and the area is thoroughly massaged to enhance the effectiveness of the procedure.

The treatment is available to anyone over the age of 18 who wants to eliminate localized excess fat without a surgical procedure. Cryolipolysis can be used to reduce the overall body size, but it is not suitable for actual weight loss. It is not recommended for people who are overweight.
The following areas can be treated by Cryolipolysis:
- hips
- lower abdomen
- abdomen
- upper and lower back

- chest (for men)
The effect of the treatment depends largely on the treated area and the condition of the connective tissues and fat cells. The results are usually visible after 3-4 months, as it takes about 10-12 weeks for the fat cells to break down and clear out through the lymphatic system. However, some patients may see some changes after 3 weeks.
The number of treatments varies from one individual to another. During a personal consultation we will prepare your individual treatment plan. What is certain is that at least 4 weeks should pass between each treatment.
You should stop taking blood-thinning medicines (e.g. aspirin) in the week before the treatment, and you should not use saunas or do any intense exercise on the day of treatment.
Immediately after the treatment, you may experience mild redness, numbness, bruising and tenderness in the treated area. After the procedure, you should increase your fluid intake: 3-4 liters of water per day for 1 week. In addition, avoid hot baths, saunas, steam baths, massage and scrubs for 1 week, making sure that the treated area is free from any irritation.
The treatment should not be used during pregnancy, breast-feeding, febrile illness, active skin infection, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, liver or kidney disease, prone to hypertrophic scarring, cancer and when taking blood thinning medication. It is also not recommended when using a pacemaker or within 6 months of abdominal surgery, liposuction or within 1 year of a C-section.
