Radiesse is a so-called biostimulant that revitalizes the skin thanks to the active ingredient calcium-hydroxyapatite. It instantly increases the firmness and elasticity of the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the long term, providing a lasting effect.

Procedure
After the consultation, the treated area is prepared, cleaned and disinfected. The filler is injected into the appropriate layer of skin using a very thin needle or blunt-ended cannula. The procedure may cause minimal discomfort at the puncture sites but it is essentially painless. The length of the treatment depends on the size of the treated area and the amount of volumisation - in other words, the amount of material used - on average the procedure takes 20-30 minutes. At the end of the treatment, we will give you precise instructions on the aftercare protocol to be followed.

The treatment is specially recommended:

- restoring the firmness, elasticity, resilience and appearance of the skin after weight loss,

- for fading contours and outlines.
Radiesse is a unique biostimulant filler containing calcium hydroxyapatite, which not only provides immediate volume enhancement but also stimulates and increases collagen and elastin production. The filler is composed of slowly degradable particles, so it can exert its stimulating effect on the skin over a long period of time.
The treatment can be used in the following areas:
- face (nasolabial folds, forehead, cheeks, labia, marionette lines, chin, temples)
- neck
- decolletage
- back of the hands
- glutes/bottoms
The results of the treatment are visible within 2 weeks and last for an average of 15-18 months, however, a maintenance treatment is recommended 6 months after the first treatment to ensure that the results are visible for as long as possible.
The week before treatment, you should avoid blood thinners (e.g. aspirin), vitamin C and alcohol to reduce the chance of possible bruising at the puncture sites. In the days prior to the procedure, active skin care products (e.g. retinol, exfoliating acids) should be avoided to prevent any skin irritation at the puncture sites during the treatment.
Swelling and minor bruising may occur at the puncture sites after the treatment, but these will disappear within a few days. In rare cases, temporary asymmetry may develop in the treated area. Minor lumps may be felt in the skin due to the filler, but these will disappear within days and no massage is required.
For a few days after the treatment, avoid intense heat, e.g. hot food/drinks, solarium, sunbathing, sauna. Cosmetic treatments and intense exercise should also be avoided for a few days. Make-up should not be used for 24 hours after the treatment.
The treatment cannot be done in case of pregnancy, breast-feeding, febrile illness or active skin infection, or in case of allergy to the filler.
