Spider vein laser treatment
With the high-grade DEKA Again laser device, we can safely and thoroughly remove aesthetically unpleasant spider veins!
Unpleasant spider veins on the thighs and legs
Beneath the skin's surface, our entire body is weaved through by our vascular system. The blood vessels are basically invisible to the outside world, but in some cases they can become permanently dilated and unable to contract. The increased blood flow causes capillaries to appear on the surface of the skin: varicose veins can develop, and spider veins appear.
These veins are practically a network around a central vein: bluish-purple veins, 1-3 mm in diameter, appear on the thigh or lower leg.
There are several possible causes:
- genetic predisposition
- lifestyle factors
- pregnancy
Cutting-edge technologies
Your treatment will be performed with the DEKA Again laser, the most advanced and innovative device in the medical laser market in 2022. It was voted the best laser device at the AMWC (Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress) in Monaco, which has confirmed the brand's leadership and excellence.
Precise, safe and efficient
The DEKA Again Alexandrite and ND:YAG laser features dual laser technology: two different wavelengths to treat different layers of skin. The Alexandrite laser works at 755 nm and the ND:YAG at 1064 nm in complete safety. The laser is highly focused and precise, which is why it can treat spider veins with maximum efficiency without damaging the normal tissue of the skin.
Procedure
The treatment starts with an initial consultation, where we will create a treatment plan to suit your specific requirements.
At the start of the procedure, we prepare the skin for laser treatment by thoroughly cleansing and disinfecting the surface. During the treatment, the laser is guided across the treated area along the blood vessels: the laser light is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood. The energy causes the vessel wall to contract and the vasodilatation to vanish. The laser does not affect normal tissue, so it has no harmful effect on healthy skin.
During the treatment, there may be a slight burning, stinging pain but the skin is continuously cooled with a special cooling device to minimize discomfort. Protective glasses must be worn during the entire treatment.

The treatment is recommended if there are clearly visible smaller or larger dilated veins on the legs or thighs which are either red, bluish or purple in color.
We develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient, as the number of sessions required depends on the severity of the spider veins and the size of the targeted area. In general, however, a minimum of 2 treatments is required, with a 4-6 week rest between each treatment. Veins of 1-2 mm can be visibly reduced with just one treatment.
Redness, swelling and soreness may occur in the treated area after treatment, but these will disappear on their own within a few days. Avoid strong sunlight, heat (e.g. hot baths, saunas), solariums and cosmetic products on the treated are during the post-treatment period. In the weeks following the treatment, extra care should be taken to protect the treated area from sun exposure.
The treatment is not recommended during pregnancy, breastfeeding, also in case of diabetes, epilepsy, active skin disease, keloid predisposition, cancer, febrile illness, autoimmune disease or during treatments with photosensitising effects.
