Put an end to sagging, drooping neck
As we age, the quality and condition of the skin on the neck area also changes, which can become aesthetically distracting. After the age of 45, the skin becomes less firm and there may be a significant amount of excess skin on the neck.
As people age, their neck changes:
- wrinkles, deeper folds and furrows appear,
- the skin loses elasticity and sags,
- the neck loses its natural and youthful contours, possible development of excess fat.
The answer to this problem could be a neck lift to achieve a youthful and slim neck. A neck lift permanently and safely removes excess skin and fatty tissue to restore the neck to its original appearance.

Choose neck lift for a firm, thight and youthful neck
Here's how the procedure can help:
- eliminates creases and wrinkles on the neck,
- reduces excess fat on the neck/chin,
- lifts the sagging skin,
- tightens where the skin has lost its elasticity,
- restores the neck and jawline contours,
- reduces double chin
Treatment can also be combined with double chin plastic
A neck lift guarantees long-lasting skin rejuvenation in the neck area. The procedure is often combined with a double chin surgery to treat the problems on the neck and on the chin at the same time. Plastic surgery restores the neck to a smooth, wrinkle-free and firm appearance.

Procedure
Before your neck lift surgery, we will discuss your individual treatment plan and the exact course of the surgery during a consultation with a specialist. You will then have a full examination, including laboratory tests, an ECG and X-rays to prepare you for the procedure.
At the start of the operation, we will prepare the area and then you will receive a disinfectant hair wash. The 1-1.5-hour procedure is performed under general anesthesia (sometimes under sedation or local anesthesia). Our plastic surgeon will make incisions behind the ears and on the scalp, pulling the skin and tissue in the right direction to remove excess skin and any excess fat.
After the procedure, the wrinkles and deep creases on the neck are evened out, the skin is tightened, and the neck area is rejuvenated. After the surgery, you will usually stay in the clinic for one day for observation, after which you will be discharged home with an accompanying adult.

Surgery is not recommended in case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, menstruation, fever or acute illness. Also, in case of diabetes, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease or organ damage, a separate consultation with a specialist is recommended before surgery.
A neck lift is recommended for anyone who has:
- excess skin and fat in the neck area,
- wrinkled, sagging, loose skin around the neck,
- sagging skin due to weight loss or weight gain.
The effects of the plastic surgery will be visible after a few weeks, once the symptoms of the surgery have disappeared, but the final shape of the neck will only be visible after the full recovery period, which takes about 3-4 months.
A neck lift provides a lasting change, but the skin loses elasticity and firmness as the years go by due to the aging process. This causes the skin to sag again over time, but the amount of sagging is much more limited than before the operation.
You should stop smoking and using nicotine-containing products for a few weeks before the operation, as nicotine slows down the healing process significantly. You should also make sure you drink enough water to keep your body properly hydrated.
Avoid tanning and certain facial treatments (e.g. with exfoliants, acid products) for 1 week before neck surgery. A few days before the operation, avoid taking blood thinners (e.g. aspirin), vitamin C, selenium, zinc, ginkgo biloba, and other herbal products and alcohol.
The recovery period is 3-4 weeks, but you can return to your daily routine after 1-2 weeks. After the operation, you may experience swelling, pain, tenderness, bruising, which should be cooled/iced for a few days. Swelling may also occur around the eyes, in which case the use of eye drops is recommended. After the operation, you may also experience postoperative bleeding, which is caused by a tube being inserted into the wound cavity for 1-2 days to drain the blood and fluid.
- Immediately after the operation, bed rest and plenty of relaxation are encouraged.
- You will be prescribed antibiotics and painkillers to take according to your doctor's instructions.
- After the operation, you will be given a post-operative compression band to wear for a few days. It is recommended that you wear it at night for 6 weeks.
- The treated area must be kept very clean for 1 week, but must not be exposed to water at all.
- Avoid heavy physical activity, exercising, lifting heavy objects and bending for at least 2 weeks.
- The stitches are removed after 2-3 weeks, after which make-up can be used again on the neck area.
- Once the swelling and bruising have disappeared, it is only recommended to begin exercising again.
- Tanning beds and saunas should also be avoided for 2 months.
