Laser treatment for capillaries
Bothersome capillaries on the face and legs
Tiny spider veins (blood vessels less than 0.3 mm in diameter) and smaller varicose veins can appear at a young age, usually due to hormonal or hereditary causes. Fortunately, capillaries do not pose a threat from a medical point of view, but from an aesthetic point of view it can be disturbing. The reason is that the capillaries dilate and fail to contract, causing red/purple veins to appear on the face, legs or thighs.
In many cases, capillaries in the facial areas can also be a symptom of rosacea, so it is worth consulting a dermatologist before treatment.
Award-winning technology
We treat capillaries with the DEKA Again Alexandrite and ND:YAG laser device, the gold standard in medical lasers. The brand is considered a top laser brand and Again is one of its most innovative machines, which was confirmed at the AMWC (Aesthetic & Anti-Aging Medicine World Congress) in Monaco in 2022 when it was voted the best laser device in the world.
Working with the World's Finest Laser System
The DEKA Again laser features dual laser technology: the Alexandrite laser delivers its extremely high energy at 755 nm and the ND:YAG laser at 1064 nm. This allows to treat problems in both the deeper and more superficial layers of the skin.
The technology of this laser is extremely safe: it is exceptionally precise and well controlled, so it treats the vascular lesions gently and delicately, leaving the surrounding tissue completely unharmed.
Benefits of vascular laser treatment
DEKA Again offers a unique approach to vascular laser treatments that is the absolute benchmark for spider veins.
- Spider veins can be completely and permanently removed.
- The skin is able to regenerate quickly and completely.
- Healthy parts of the skin are not damaged, vasodilatation is eliminated without scarring.
- Smaller blood vessels/Capillaries disappear after even one session.
- It eliminates the problem with minimal discomfort.
Procedure
The first step is to create a personalized treatment plan, which will provide the baseline for a series of treatments. Before the treatment, the skin surface is properly prepared, cleaned of any debris and then disinfected. Protective glasses must be used during the entire treatment.
The ND:YAG laser is aimed at the treated area: the wavelength of the laser (1064 nm) can be absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood, causing the vascular wall to be closed by the thermal energy created. This stops unwanted blood flow and congestion in the dilated capillaries - which is why the capillary was originally visible on the skin. The laser leaves the normal tissues unaffected, targeting only the critical parts. The laser light can cause a burning, stinging sensation, so a special cooling device is used to keep the surface cool. At the end of the treatment, we will give you precise instructions on the aftercare.

Frequently asked questions
Do you have more questions?
Dilatation of the capillaries can be a problem even at a young age, but laser treatment can alleviate the problem quickly and effectively.
The following problems can be treated with laser:
- small varicose veins on the legs
- haemangiomas
- spider veins (thin blood vessels that radiate from a single point)
- capillaries in the face
- enlarged vessels due to rosacea
- remaining red patches and marks caused by inflammation
Vascular laser treatments are most commonly performed on the face and legs, but in general, any area of the body can be treated.
The number of treatments required may vary from one person to another depending on the type and extent of the problem and the size of the targeted area. Your personal treatment plan will be determined during your consultation. However, for small capillaries, you will usually notice results after the very first session, while thicker capillaries will disappear after a few sessions.
Vascular laser treatments require a series of treatments, with a break of 4-6 weeks between each session. During the treatment period, extra caution should be taken with sun protection.
Swelling, redness and oedema may occur on the skin after the treatment, but these will disappear within a few days. After the treatment, avoid hot baths, saunas, sunlight, solarium, skin care products and other aesthetic treatments. After the procedure, the treated area should be protected from sun exposure.
