Hyaluronic acid fillers

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring large molecule carbohydrate in the body that is responsible for the skin's hydration and water retention. When used as a filler, hyaluronic acid has a skin rejuvenating effect, injected into the skin to effectively treat sagging skin and wrinkles with this natural ingredient.

In the days before the treatment, it is recommended to avoid the use of skin care products containing active ingredients (e.g. retinol, exfoliants), blood thinners (e.g. aspirin), vitamin C and alcohol.

In the days following the procedure, the puncture sites may show slight redness, swelling, oedema, stiffness, bruising, itching and pain, but these will disappear on their own within a short time. 

Make-up and other cosmetic products should be avoided for 24 hours after the procedure, and strong mechanical and thermal stress (e.g. sunbathing, tanning beds, exercise, hot drinks and foods, other facial treatments) should be avoided for a few weeks. At the end of the treatment, you will receive precise information on the aftercare.

The results of hyaluronic acid fillers depend on the amount of filler used and individual reactions, but usually the effects of the treatment remain visible for 6-12 months. 

It is recommended to repeat the treatments after 8-12 months to maintain the results.

Hyaluronic acid fillers are not recommended in case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin disease, autoimmune diseases, blood coagulation disorders, febrile illness, or in case of allergy or sensitivity to the filler.
