The enlargement of the lower part of the face is an anatomical feature, but it can be caused by the large masseter muscle due to increased daily stress or exercise. Constant jaw tension is not only an aesthetic problem, it is also often the cause of nocturnal teeth grinding and chronic neck pain and headaches.
By slimming the face using Botox injections for the Masseter muscle, facial features become noticeably leaner, more feminine and harmonious in appearance, while the natural facial expression and chewing ability remain unchanged.
The jaw is softened by injecting botulinum toxin, commonly known as botox, into the masseter muscle area through tiny needle punctures. This reduces the muscle's severe tightness and volume, the face becomes leaner and the unpleasant symptoms disappear for a long time.

The procedure
Treating the masseter muscle is a quick procedure with a minimal discomfort that can even be done during a lunch break. The treatment does not require anesthesia. We cleanse the skin, remove make-up and then disinfect the areas to be treated.
The Botox is injected into the area of the masseter muscle with fine needle punctures, followed by a soothing cream and sunscreen.
The muscles become noticeably more relaxed after 3-5 days and the final result is visible in about 2 weeks.

For the treatment of Masseter, we use the active ingredient Dysport (botulinum toxin type A), a prescription medicine approved by the pharmaceutical authorities. Its use is completely safe under the right professional competence and conditions. The amount of active ingredient administered can be individually controlled according to the desired result. This is recorded precisely in the treatment plan, together with the puncture points, and the Masseter muscle is treated accordingly. The active ingredient works only on the targeted area, without affecting the movement of other muscles in the face. The Botox treatment does not damage the nerve endings or the treated muscles. The treatment can be repeated safely and indefinitely.
Botulinum toxin is a naturally occurring bacterial protein that, when administered in small amounts, can block nerve-muscle communication, preventing the affected muscles from contracting.
The first results are noticable after 5 days, the final results are visible after about 2 weeks and last for 3-4 months. As the active ingredient wears off, muscle tone is gradually restored. It is worth repeating the treatment afterwards, as each session can enhance the effect and longevity of the Botox treatment.
A few days before the treatment, it is recommended to stop using skin care products containing active ingredients (retinol, exfoliating masks, etc.), which can cause skin irritation at the area of the treatment. Alcoholic beverages should be avoided.
Minor bruising may occur at the site of the treatment. There may be a slight tenderness at the spots where the botox was injected, and in rare cases a mild headache. These are natural reactions of the body and should ease and disappear within a few days without further treatment.
Make-up should be avoided for 24 hours after the botox injections. We will give you precise instructions on what to do after the treatment.
This treatment should not be performed in cases of pregnancy, breastfeeding or febrile illness, allergy to botulinum toxin, active skin disease, or musculoskeletal and/or neurological disorders.
