Botox treatments

Botox treatments involve injecting so-called botulinum toxin - also known as botox - into the muscles that are causing the wrinkles, using tiny needle punctures. The injected botox relaxes the muscles temporarily, eliminating deep wrinkles, grooves and fine lines caused by muscle movement. 

During botox treatments we use a type of botulinum toxin called Dysport (type A).

Botulinum toxin is a natural bacterial protein that, when injected into the skin, can block nerve-muscle signaling, so that muscles do not move or contract. In practice, botulinum toxin reduces muscle activity, which allows dynamic wrinkles to be treated effectively and efficiently by eliminating the cause of the wrinkles.

Botox treatments can significantly rejuvenate the overall appearance of the face.

• The complexion is visibly smoothed: wrinkles, fine lines and creases are reduced.
• Facial features (such as frown lines) are transformed, giving the patient a more friendly, slender, feminine and harmonious appearance. However, the natural facial expression remains unchanged.
• The eye contour is refreshed, the look is more radiant and opened.
• The micro-botox treatments also renew the skin's surface: sebum production is reduced, the pores are tightened, acne problems are reduced and the texture of the skin is more even.
• Botox treatment can also be used to eliminate excessive sweating in the armpits, palms and soles.

The injection only affects the targeted muscles, leaving the rest of the face untouched, so the muscle function and natural facial expression remain basically unchanged. The amount of the active ingredient injected is easily adjustable, so the degree of muscle relaxation - the reduction of wrinkles - is fully customisable.

Botox treatments offer a wide range of options for skin rejuvenation. The entire face can be treated for mimic wrinkles: the forehead, the eye area, the eyebrow area, the muscles around the mouth, the chin and jawline, and the neck can be rejuvenated. It can also reduce excessive sweating in the palms, underarms and soles. 

The effects of Botox last for about 3-4 months, but with regular repetition of the treatment, the duration of the effect can be increased. As Botox does not damage nerve endings or muscles at all, it can be repeated at any time and as many times as you like. 

Yes, within a few months after the Botox treatments are completed, the mimic muscles of the treated area will return to their original condition, according to age and skin quality. 

Treatments are recommended for anyone between the ages of 18 and 65, regardless of gender. It is especially recommended for those who:

• are looking for a solution to treat deep creases, wrinkles and fine lines,
• want tighter and smoother skin on the face and neck,
• want to rejuvenate the features of the face by fading wrinkles and crow's feet around the forehead, brows and around the eyes, mouth and nose,
• want a more feminine, softer, more balanced, kinder appearance.

Botox treatments use the active ingredient Dysport, which is a prescription medicine approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Agency. With the right professional competence and under professional conditions, the use of botulinum toxin is completely safe. The active ingredient is injected into the skin in small amounts, individually controlled according to the parameters defined in the personalized treatment plan. The active ingredient only affects the mimic muscles into which it is injected directly, so it does not affect the movement of other facial muscles, and does not damage nerve endings or muscles in any way. 

It is recommended that you stop using skin care products containing active ingredients (e.g. retinol, exfoliants) in the few days before the treatment. Also, alcohol should be avoided for 1-2 days before and on the day of the treatment.

After Botox treatments, you may experience slight swelling, bruising and tenderness at the puncture sites, but these will disappear on their own within a short time. Occasionally you may also experience dull headaches, numbness and nausea as a natural reaction of the body.

Make-up and skincare products should be avoided for 24 hours after the Botox treatment, and intense physical activity and/or exercise should be avoided for a few days. Solarium, sauna, sunbathing and alcohol consumption are not recommended for the following week. Make sure that the treated area is protected from UV exposure with SPF50. Botox treatments are not recommended in case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, fever, active skin disease. In addition, it should not be performed in case of allergy or sensitivity to the active ingredient or in case of musculoskeletal and/or neurological disorders.
