Botox treatments

Following medical assessment and a treatment plan, botulinum toxin is injected into selected muscles. The aim is a temporary reduction in muscle activity; the doctor determines the areas and dosage.

The clinic’s existing information names Dysport, a type A botulinum toxin product. The product used for the specific appointment, its patient information and dosage should be clarified with the treating doctor.

It temporarily reduces nerve-to-muscle signalling. This may soften dynamic lines caused by the movement of the treated muscles; it works differently from fillers that add volume.

Treatment may reduce the appearance of selected dynamic lines. The result depends on the area, muscle activity and skin condition; complete removal of wrinkles or a particular facial expression cannot be guaranteed.

Planning considers anatomy, facial movement and the intended change. Areas and dosage are individual; treatment alters muscle activity, so completely unchanged expression cannot be promised.

The price list distinguishes areas and region combinations. In addition to the forehead, frown-line area and eye area, other targeted treatments may have separate pages; suitability is assessed by a doctor.

The previously stated 3–4 months is an estimate and individual duration may differ. Repeat treatment follows product instructions, the result and medical review, rather than an unrestricted schedule.

There is no automatic requirement to book further treatment. Muscle activity may gradually return as the temporary effect wears off; any further treatment can be considered after discussion.

Suitability depends on treatable dynamic lines and individual goals. Age alone does not establish suitability: a doctor also reviews health, medicines and contraindications.

Treatment is not risk-free. Bruising, swelling or pain may occur, as can temporary muscle weakness or drooping of the eyelid or brow. Breathing, swallowing or speech difficulties require immediate medical attention.

All medicines, supplements, previous injections and health conditions should be disclosed. Prescribed medicines should not be stopped independently; preparation follows medical advice.

Temporary redness, tenderness or minor bruising may occur at injection sites. Unusual, persistent or worsening symptoms should be reported to the clinic; not every symptom should be treated as an expected reaction.

Rubbing or massaging the treated area should be avoided unless instructed otherwise by the doctor. Exercise, makeup, heat exposure and skincare should follow the aftercare guidance for the specific treatment.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, active infection, known product allergy and neuromuscular conditions must be disclosed beforehand. Contraindications and medicine interactions require medical assessment; this is not an exhaustive list.
