Shockwave therapy is suitable for anyone who has cellulite on their thighs, abdomen or buttocks.
The effects of the treatment can be felt for several months in the treated area: cellulite is significantly reduced, the skin surface becomes more even and the skin becomes firmer and more elastic. However, the duration of the treatment depends on the individual collagen production and may vary from person to person.
The number of treatments may vary from one person to the other based on the severity of the cellulite, so we will create an individual treatment plan for each of our patients. In general, after just 2-3 sessions the skin in the treated area will become smoother and firmer. The final result most often requires 6-10 sessions.
There is essentially no preparation required prior to the treatment, we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing and do not apply any skin care products to the treatment area in the few hours before the procedure.
There is no recovery time after the treatment and you can resume your daily activities immediately after the procedure. The shock waves generated by the Z-Wave Pro may make your body and muscles feel relaxed, but there are no side effects.
The cellulite treatment is not recommended in case of pregnancy, breastfeeding, active skin infection, cancer, circulatory or blood coagulation disorders, open wounds and vascular problems. It should also not be used in patients with pacemakers or metal implants, or in case of broken bones or torn muscles.
